It’s Complicated
2014
The closing chapter of an extended body of work investigating gendered engagements with the [mostly male] modernist canon, It’s Complicated utilises humour and explores the dynamics of romantic relationships as methods and metaphors for critique. Courtney takes a ‘final’ look at their fervent relationship with the history of Western modernism, and considers whether it is the end of the affair.
